Fri-Yay Makeup Fun: Ombre Eyeliner - Makeup and Beauty Blog

Yeah, y'all could line your lash lines with a basic black or brown liner and telephone call information technology a day, but it'southward Fri-YAY! Allow's wear 2 dissimilar colors. Two fun colors, woo-hoo! ?

I mean, you don't have to go as crazy as I did hither with, like, teal and majestic, merely I'thou non going to discourage you lot if you're in the mood to go bold.

So, let's talk almost ombre eyeliner, which is what I phone call it when one shade of liner merges into another shade to create an ombre event.

I usually like to practise the inner part of my lash lines in a lighter colour than the outer part because I recollect information technology makes the virtually visual sense to me, but information technology's just a preference. Anything goes.

For this await hither, I'm doing my lighter liner on the inner part, and a darker liner on the outer part.

i. Choose your two liner colors

I remember this is the hardest step — picking 2 colors that go well together, and also become well with your overall wait.

Think about what y'all're wearing on your lids, a.thousand.a. everything nearly your lash line and below the crease. I'thousand wearing a teal shade on my lids, so I went with a darker greenish shade for my inner liner, and a dark purple for the outer liner (the majestic besides echoes my purple lips, but I might endeavor this again and utilise a night blue).

Side notation: when I practice this kind of look with neutrals (yous know I honey me some browns!), I like to use gold, statuary or rose gold for the inner liner, and and then, say, a dark plum, nighttime navy or a forest green for the outer section.

Some combos I like!

Basically, just consider your eyeshadow, and go with your gut. Honestly, yous can't really go incorrect with whatever yous choose.

But if you're still stumped and can't decide, play with some colors on the back of your paw, and then agree your hand upwards by your eye to encounter if the colors work with whatever you're wearing on your lids. And if you practise line your eyes with a colour that you stop up not liking, but describe over it with another shade. I do that all the time!

Now that you've (hopefully) picked your colors…

2. Line the inner portion of your upper and lower lash lines with your lighter color

Get-go your ombre liner wait past lining your upper and lower lash lines with the lighter shade, going from the inner corner and stopping about halfway along your lash lines.

By the way, for this look, I chose a pencil liner, because I wanted a lot of control over the line, but any formula (pulverization, gel, liquid, you proper name it) works. And whether yous go out the border crisp, or smudge it out, is totally up to yous. A smudgier line will exist more coincidental and grungy, while a crisp line will look more than formal and glamorous.

3. Line the outer portion of your upper and lower lash lines with your darker color

Next, line your upper and lower lash lines with your darker colour, and I like to slightly overlap the lighter colour.

Take that darker colour all the manner to the outer corner of your lash lines.

You can also add together a wing if y'all'd similar. Once more, totally upwardly to you.

Wing or no wing, though, be certain to connect the colors in the outer corner; otherwise; information technology can look unfinished.

After you're done lining, run a Q-tip soaked in a little flake of makeup remover to acuminate the edges if you need to.

Aaand y'all're done! TGIF. Have a great Friday. 🙂

Your friendly neighborhood dazzler addict,

Karen
