The Department of Architecture at the Academy of Colorado Denver offers a Bachelor of Scientific discipline in Architecture degree program on the downtown Denver campus. The program'due south design studio-based curriculum combines critical thinking with active making in pursuit of creative solutions to gimmicky blueprint problems.

In their first three years of study, students learn the fundamentals of design, how to apply them to the design of buildings, neighborhoods and cities, and how to graphically communicate a design solution.

The Architectural Studies Track offers students a less prescribed path, with greater freedom to shape the direction of their studies in the final two semesters. Based on individual interests and projected career paths, students who choose this rails will have the opportunity to focus on ane or more areas of study in architecture and/or allied disciplines. These include architectural history/theory, technology, and/or visualization, among other options.

The Architectural Pattern Rails is for students who desire additional Design Studios to hone their design skills.  This track also prescribes additional history and technical course work to support design thinking and application.

Both tracks prepare students for admission to a two-year (minimum) accredited graduate architecture caste program in the United states, Canada, or uniform degree programs internationally.  Advance continuing in a Primary of Architecture program can be maximized in either rail by selecting constituent courses in technical studies and professional practice typically recognized by accredited graduate architecture degree programs.

Applicants who have a cumulative three.0 GPA and a Composite score of 24 on the ACT or 1150-1180 on the SAT Combined Math and Evidence-Based Reading and Writing Score are considered strong candidates for access to the Higher of Architecture and Planning. Applicants not meeting requirements for direct admission to the Higher of Compages and Planning may be considered for admission to the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences with a Pre-Architecture involvement.

For automatic admission to the architecture major, students must accept a 2.75 cumulative GPA for all coursework attempted. Two Track

Students in the BS Architecture program take the option to choose one of two s ub-plans with different course requirements.  All students are enrolled in the Architectural Studies sub-plan when declaring the BS Compages major.  Before the final two semesters in the program, students must cull to either stay in the Architectural Studies s ub- plan or opt-into the Architectural Pattern due south ub- plan.  Each sub-plan has 27 credits of specified course work to complete the caste.  The Architectural Studies sub-program allows more flexibility in form selection, the Architectural Pattern sub-plan is more than structured.  Students should come across with their Academic Advisors prior to selecting a sub-program for guidance on the bear upon each will have on their intended career path subsequently graduation.
